On Saturday, May 5th, churches from Davis will be fanning out across Davis, Dixon and Woodland to serve our community. Our church is responsible for helping to clean up the UC Davis Arboretum! We’ll be doing litter pickup and wiping down signs and benches. The time is TBD but will happen sometime between 9-2pm. Please sign up below to help make the Arboretum beautiful! After the Bible Study, we went and enjoy time playing softball. You don’t need to be professional to play, and we had a enjoyable time, with many who played softball for the first time!

This past weekend was the perfect day to go hang out in the Golden city of San Francisco. We started off the day by sightseeing at Pier 39. You can’t tell, but we are sitting/ standing on a sculpture of three seals. I’m not sure if you can tell, but it was a clear day with blue sunny skies.
Then we headed over to Chinatown for some yummy dim sum including shrimp dumplings, crispy fried taro dumplings, and much more food. We then drove down Lombard Street, the crookedest street in San Fransisco and then to the Palace of Fine Arts.
Notice the Roman architecture. It’s so surprising to find this in the urban city. Lastly no trip is complete without seeing the Golden Gate Bridge. I’m not sure what the guys are looking at.

Early in the Winter Quarter, we headed to the Sierra area to spend a weekend to learn about God. Pastor William from Gracepoint Berkeley spoke from his heart about God’s existence and our need for God in five passionate messages. We sang praise songs in both Chinese and English and heard many sharings from students about how they became Christian and different lessons learned about life after becoming a Christian. We spent a lot of time eating together, playing in the snow, and playing indoor games as well. If you missed it, I hope that you can join us next year. Special thanks to IGSM Berkeley for organizing the entire weekend for us and to Pastor William.

Join us for this year’s IGSM Christmas Celebration which will take place this Friday (12/10) starting 7:00pm at Ming and Linda’s home. We will start the evening off with a “potluck” dinner followed by a special Christmas Bible Study. Afterwards, we will be having a fun time of indoor games along with our annual Christmas Gift Exchange! It’s going to be a lot of fun!
For those who have never been to a “potluck” dinner, a “potluck” dinner is where each person or group of people contributes a dish of food to be shared among the group. If you plan on attending, please contact us at igsm@ucdavis.edu or 530-746-8483.
Also, if you would like to participate in our annual Christmas Gift Exchange, please bring a new, wrapped and gender-neutral gift (which means it can be given to either a man or woman) that is between $5-6. If you’ve never participated in a Christmas Gift Exchange, it’s a lot of fun. You won’t want to miss out on this!!

After we made our own potstickers; we had it cooked from pan fried, deep fried, and boil dumplings and enjoy a yummy dinner. After all these good food, we exercise through intense mental activity(for some who want to strategized) and work off the calories
