International Graduate Student Ministry (IGSM) is an official UC Davis student group that meets weekly to discuss different life issues and the Bible together. It began as a weekly dinner fellowship and Bible study in early 1998. We aim to “love locally, impact globally” by helping graduate students from the U.S. and abroad to investigate life’s purpose through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our members consist of law students, med school students, graduate students, post-docs, and their spouses from a variety of cultures and backgrounds.
We enjoy getting together and building friendships through various activities, including Yosemite trips, Dim Sum outings, and simple heart-to-heart talks over coffee… As we learn about the great love of God that is shown through the life of Jesus, we strive to share that love with others.
The Bible study messages are given by our invited speaker, Pastor William Kang, who leads Gracepoint Davis Church. He and his wife, Esther, love to share their lives with students and are dedicated to helping them in whatever capacity.
Please do come by one of our upcoming events; we look forward to meeting you soon!
International Graduate Student Ministry (IGSM) is a UC Davis registered student organization that welcomes all graduate, professional school, and international students, post doctorates and scholars! We strive to foster a warm, friendly environment where those with questions about Christianity can seek answers, and those who are already Christians can grow deeper in their faith.
