Hey guys! Last Friday, we continued on with our “Remarkable Jesus” series after 2 amazing special talks: Science & Christianity and Case for Christ. The message was about the encounter between Jesus and the demon possessed man. Although this man was possessed by evil spirits and isolated from the rest of society, Jesus was willing to heal him of his sickness and have a personal connection with him. We learned that although we may not be controlled by evil spirits, there are a lot of internal/external things that take a hold of us. Such things include pride, anger, selfishness, jealousy, bitterness, idolatry, apathy, addictions to alcohol, drugs, entertainment, internet surfing, romantic relationships, and even people’s approval. Although these things may control us, Jesus is offering this invitation to free us from such “enslavement” and open up a personal relationship with each one of us. This message left us with the idea that Jesus sees everyone of us as precious sons and daughters, and He wants to save us from our enslavement of sin. The question then is, what is our response?
