Last Friday night was awesome! We had a humungous feast! People brought in various dishes of meat! Most of them were Chinese, Korean, and American dishes. We had dishes like spicy pork, honey walnut shrimp, BBQ chicken, and even our very own Costco pizza! And if that was not enough, we had Chinese porridge and Italian cream soup! How fancy! There was just a plethora of food that we could not put every dish on the table. And to top it all off, we had pies galore for desert! There was also Erickson’s very own blueberry mochi and Joanne’s strawberry icecream cake! Very filling!

Then, we had our Christmas bible study! We watched the movie, The Nativity Story, which was about the birth of Jesus Christ. It was very powerful in the way it portrayed the difficult journey Joseph and Mary had to take before giving birth to the Son of God. Afterwards, we got into small groups of 4 and discussed what impacted us from the movie.

Lastly, we had our Project Angel Tree gift wrapping! Some of us got to wrap presents that were to be delivered to kids whose parents are incarcerated. It was a fun time. Some of us didn’t know how to wrap gifts, and so we did our best to learn and assist those who were proficient at it. Overall, that night was a memorable time of bonding!

Here are pictures of the food we ate!
